The League of Women Voters of Glenview/Glencoe is hosting a virtual discussion on gun safety at home from 7-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30. Topics will include securing guns in the home, statistics on children’s access to guns in Illinois, information about gun violence prevention laws and how advocates attempt to reinforce the safe storage of firearms through legislation and education. Panelists will include Sgt. Joel Detloff of the Glenview Police Department; Megan Kivarkis of Moms Demand Action; Jim McGrath, gun violence prevention advocate for the League of Women Voters; and Margaret Sents of the Gun Safety Consortium.
